Jim Gay
Born in Sydney, Nova Scotia, Jim has a strong musical family background. His Dad played drums, sang, danced and acted in musical productions. Jim's Mom and his three sisters sang in choirs and one sister played guitar. Jim started singing as a boy in a catholic boy’s choir and played piano for two years in his early 20's. He started singing again in 2001 after working with a trainer for 1.5 years. Jim performed in operatic musical theatre productions in Halifax, N.S. during the years of 2001/2002, and sang tenor with the Nova Scotia Tattoo at the Halifax Metro Center in 2003. Along with performing with the Gilbert and Sullivan Society of Fredericton from 2003 - 2005, he has appeared in Big Hearts for the Homeless and Christmas at the Playhouse. Jim studied Latin and Ballroom dance and was an extra in two major movie productions. He first appeared with the NB Country Showcase in 2006. Be sure and catch him wherever he may be performing.
