Shirley Albert
Hailing from the seaside town of Shediac, N.B., Shirley’s Dad played fiddle in a band and she accompanied him on vocals. A very pleasant person to speak with, she delivers a strong, upbeat performance with some incredible material. Working with some very talented songwriters, Shirley tells me she plans on making another trip to Nashville. Along with performing at Martime Countryfest here in Fredericton, she has opened for a lot of big name acts like Faith Hill, Tim McGraw and Prairie Oyster. She has performed at The East Coast Music Awards in Halifax and among other credits too first place at the 1996 Hot Country Talent Search in Moncton, N.B. Nominated and performing at various talent and award shows too numerous to mention here, she is a performer to watch for. Keep your eyes on this rising star.
