Wanda Grant
Born 1968 in Minto, N.B. Wanda started singing in public at the age of 6. Learning guitar at age 9 she taught herself to play bass a few years after that. At age 11 she recorded a single entitled "Grampy" at Gary Morris's Studio in Sussex and durring her highschool years she played in a band called "Circle North". She is one of the original members of "The Capital City Jamboree which started around 1981 and has been doing back up vocals and lead vocals with the Showcase Band for approximately 4 years.
A quote from Wanda:
"I remember doing a show with Johnny Burke. When he seen how “vertically challenged” I was, he introduced me, put the mic stand up as high as it would go and then walked off stage."
Being vertically challenged like some of us has no impact on the giant and powerful voice that is her trademark. You rock Wanda!
