Kevin Neilson – Co Producer/Vocals

Born 1958 in Plaster Rock, N.B. Kevin started singing in talent shows at age 7. At 8 years old he won First Prize. He started playing guitar at age 11 and picked fiddleheads to buy his first drum set at 15 years old. He started playing drums because his first band had no drummer. The band Midnight Special began around 1975 and continued off and on for approximately 22 years. Members of Midnight Special include Tom Hoyt, Noel Nason, Darrell Dunster and Danny Messer. Kevin made a living and toured professionally for a few years in the 1980's. He has played extensively around the Maritimes as well as various states throughout the Eastern Seaboard of the U.S. and currently co-produces The New Brunswick Country Showcase with Tom Hoyt.
